About PhaintingsFrom the Snapshots of Life introduction
Most of the photographs I share here, I have individually digitally manipulated, by definition meaning “by hand” and “by electronic means” to enhance and bring out those specific elements that I see with my mind's eye and would like to express and share with you, the viewer.
The result is what I call “Phaintings” — images that are somewhere between a photo and a painting. Much like life itself — somewhere between what is real and our perception of it.
